Is there anyone or anyplace i can get tips to perfect my makeup?

I have a huge engagement coming up in 5 days and i want to look phenomenal. people say that my makeup is the centerpiece of my image, so i want it perfect. anything, besides something dumb like match your skintone, i know that much people! i mean tips like what tools to use to apply, things like that.Is there anyone or anyplace i can get tips to perfect my makeup?
Those books by Bobbi Brown are really good for makeup.

well when my mom got married i thought she wore a little too much make-up (sorry mom) she didn't look like herself but in the pics she looked great so i'd go with a mix of very formal to casual (i find casual mascara, eyeliner, foundation and blush )
