What is the easiest way of finding your perfect makeup shade?

It depends where you're going i.e. drugstore or department store. I bought my last foundation at Wal Mart so I had to dab some on my hand ... or on your jaw line too (great idea) to see how well it blends with your neck. You'll probably feel weird though doing that in a drugstore isle so just do the dabbing on the hand. If you're at a department store then the consultant will help you or if you do it on your own you won;t feel weird about it and you'll be getting it from test bottles not the actual thing like in the drugstore/Walmart isle! What is the easiest way of finding your perfect makeup shade?
I would go to the mall or your local Sephora. Go to the make up counter and ask them to help you pick it out...Most places will give you a free make up...but if you don't want that or they make you pay just simply ask someone for help choosing the right shade. Other than that, you could also go to your drug store and compare the colors with your skin. I'd say buy that shade, a shade lighter, and a shade darker so you can do highlighting and contouring (plus you will get tan and sometimes paler!)What is the easiest way of finding your perfect makeup shade?
try a few colours you think that are closest to your skin tone and in natural light do a stripe test on you jawline, wait a few minutes as the pigment and oil in your skin can change the foundation and make it a shade darker. The colour that you can't tell is there is the correct shade for you.

I would say to go for a shade with a yellow undertone.
all i know is for coverup..... :

i have this smart shade stuff by almay i got it t walgreens but im sure ou can find it at any drugstore

and like they say it comes out white and it blends i with your skincolor as you rub it on so it covers your blemishes while blendin wih your skin tone
apply the foundation on your jawline, and make sure you make up matches your neck as well, as to avoid a mismatch. pick whichever is most natural.

also be sure to keep in mind your color undertone - pink/yellow/olive. some makeups only have a pink undertones so may look unnatural.
